Today, Wednesday March 18th David Shadburn announced his candidacy for all electable positions in the School of Public Affairs Student Government for the 2015 election. Now the front runner for SPA President, SPA Vice-President, SPA Secretary, and SPA Treasurer, David is excited to get out on the campaign trail, and talk to voters about the issues that really matter. Speaking from his Mass Ave apartment this afternoon David was quoted as saying “ Wait, WHAT. You son of a bi.” before chasing us out the door.
After the announcement Jeff Friedman, campaign manager, was quoted as saying “The David Shadburn for Entire SPA 2015 campaign is excited to get out into the community and speak about the issues that need to be addressed. I think I speak for the entire SPA community when I say SPA needs a change in leadership. And David Shadburn is just the person to do it.” The campaign also stressed their belief that a rigorous debate is needed between candidates to discuss the issues, most importantly the issue of puppies. “We aren’t going to be afraid to touch the third rail of SPA politics.” said campaign communications director Harry Weiss. “David will address the puppy issue not because it is easy, but because it is necessary.”
The David Shadburn for Entire SPA 2015 campaign also launched a campaign website, where voters can learn more about David, and watch videos on his campaign platform.
